Pop-Up Poetry ‘On Food’ at Glutton and Glee

The latest event in the Pop-Up Poetry series is tonight, 21st December, at 7pm. It is ‘On Food’ and is being hosted by Hannah Sender at new Tunsgate eating place ‘Glutton and Glee’. I will reading some rather unseasonably dark poems on the theme and I will also be covering the event for Kane FM.

Poetry should grab you by the collar in the street or whisper in your ear like a lover. Sadly, for some people, poetry is something they have only encountered in school or in a library.
This new series of Pop-Up Poetry events in Guildford is bringing poetry out of the classroom and into the town centre. Each event will ‘pop-up’ in a different place and offer opportunities to local and visiting poets to perform their work in new and exciting places.

Passing through will be Alex Gwyther, a great young hip-hop poet from Chertsey so come down and get involved… it starts at 7pm  – you need to emailHANNAH_SENDER@HOTMAIL.CO.UK – she will add you to the list
